Identity itself is a loosely defined word
The true meaning of it can easily be blurred.

Mirror, mirror, can you see?

Is it who I see in your reflection that's really me?

Mirror, mirror, how'd it stem?
Is it a person's good or bad deeds that truly defines them?

Mirror, mirror, is it so?
That I'm not the person I saw a year ago?
I've gained the good and lost the bad
And finally saw the blessings I've always had.

Mirror, mirror, you're a cynic
With my complexion, weight, and hair you're such a critic.

Mirror, mirror, you're such a sham.
You only own me if I don't know who I am.

Mirror, mirror, I don't need you anymore
I'm the person I want to be. And who knows? Maybe more.

Mirror, mirror, you show only what you want me to see.
But when you lay there, shattered, I'll rearrange the pieces to truly depict me.
For the "Identity" contest. If you like it please show your support! thanks!
